RIVER VALLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL 21st-23rd
Had a great bunch of kids in rvps with 3 koreans,1 jap, a guy name giggs and many others. Started by asking, who am I and guess what,they all said I'm Beckham cause of my hair and that is how I got the name BECKHAM which the other students in other group also called me.
We had 2 hours of campfire preparation but it was well wasted till the final 20minutes which we did xi shua shua in the end. Campfire was nice with us winning copycat,anyway, it was clear cut that I would have win since being the most entertaining one with my Jap dude KENJI, he is one crazy guy in the house. Anyway, he gave me so much trouble but yet also had lots of fun disturbing him and I guess the group enjoyed his companion as well together with Ernest too. Sorry for leaving you early people :(
I would miss this school actually for the fun and joy I had with them,I guess I was lucky to have the rascal but because of him,the team actually click. Great mixture with Rohit being the normal kinda pri sch kid who ask all the dumb dumb question, Kim Mu Young was my most mature camper together with Ha WonHye RIm also known as my team korea,Gabrina and Jamie,the 2 often got tease by me and tag team partner of Kenji/Ernest also make alot of funny stuff.
And last but not least,its the start of when Rendall Koh is known as BECKHAM :P

Clementi Pri School
Was quite tired in this cause I did back to back but still had to be in the school by 7.45 on Wednesday, at first meeting the student, it was normal, Had a student who thought I was fierce but I'm Mr NICEEE. The student in this sch I find was much less receptive as compared to RVPS.
Anyway, I had group 11 which means I had no mirror and my total strength is just 18 as compare to others with mirror,they had 30 + so in terms of voice, we were definitely not going to be as loud as them. I had a girl with hearing problem and had to have a hearing device on her and a guy suffering from some hyper active issue.
I did the magical stunt of doing Xi Shua Shua again, haha. 2 back to back camps doing the same campfire performance but clementi pri did a better one. This camp, the student are much more neighbourhood like but in the end I had great bonds with everyone :)
I would really miss the 2 schools :)
Reflections
I find that this 2 camps,I have show how has I change in terms of facilitating a team. I feel I am now giving a much stronger impact to the students with the objective to make them learn but yet enjoy themselve so much, I mean like doing just a simple station activity, I can do it for like 45 minutes and using different methods to facilitate. And yesterday hearing what Potatoe say about my emotional speech to Clementi make me feel happy cause hearing this of words from a more experience instructors is a kind of acknowledgement for me and the outcome of students responding to me at the end of the day further assure me of my performance in camp.
In terms of camp,nowadays ,I realise the student impact me more than the instructors who are present. The bonds as a whole is not that strong like what Ian said. Its unlike the past when even if the instructors are all new, the bond was super strong. Therefore, when Patrick,Alex,Alfred were there at night,I find myself more comfortable.Thanks Patrick for the 2 story you shared.

Maha Bodhi School Camp
Had MBS camp from the 16th-18th april in Jbac again. Heard so many stuff about what happen in Jbac just before this camp and I though Jody was going to give us hell but luckily somehow she was nice except for Mr Last camp aka my fellow first camp instructor Terence Wong putting his shoe on the rack but it was just a short talk and he wasnt there as he was doing his nature rumble.
It was nice taking Group 4 aka 4 ROX. The guyz were abit quite hesistant calling this as their team name and they were often putting down the team but what would you expect as they are still 11 years old kids who still never agrees with the female campers except for one particular guy who confesse to the whole world for liking another student. PRIMARY 5 Kid only. Anyway, at night dring debrief manage to actually ask them the serious question which make them ponder and think. I guess it became abit more emotional and that's when their real feeling start to come, though they dont show much but you know from what they say.
Day2 was our campfire stuff and thankfully manage to clear all of them at least in doing the zipline as well as having everyone to try doing CRC at least once, in fact everyone went once only. It was quite tough doing belaying cause we had to like push them along so that its much easier for them and we knew we had to rush as some of our slot were delayed due to rain.So us, instructors, had to really belay fast and also still note all the safety issue and acutally I find the student are more obedient while in the CRC area even though some wer playing with stone.
Campfire was great, doing tarzan and Jane, I would love not to be involve in dancing but I only dance the full song 2 or 3 times with them, so I feel I had to perform. It was great, really nice. :) Being both male and female. Had the peformance recorded, will post on youtube and here as well.
Anyway, Terence finally had his last camp, Jeremy he came in as well. He was tao pok by us then also being poured water and abit of building house on him also known as pinching nipples. It really brought us back to the days with Clementi Woods Sec sch, where Jer He,Terence and me had our first ever camp and from then onwards,we maintain great friendship and seriously ,we never had any huge argument with each other before.
Will post photo of the camp soon. Going to Jbac from the 21-25 April for River Valley Pri School camp then Clementi Pri sch.

Tanglin Sec CampT Friday, April 11, 2008
Tanglin Secondary School Camp 9th-11th April
Reached TangLin Sec the earliest and realise that Clementi Woods Sec which was my maiden camp last year was along the stretch of road. Anyway, the moment I reach the school, I felt it had a prestige in them but due to what I know from people,the student are quite normal.
Was introduce to my group and the starting part in school, was kinda irritating as the hall was conjested and people shouting here and there , so I am not too in the mood to ask my house to shout as well but we still had some. And get to know some of my groupies too and of cause my most prominent Joker Shawn and another 2 who ask me to keep stuff for them.
Anyway, along the way, get to know more about the student and my student leader J-Ing had been great together with Rena,they are quite hyper.
First day was super tiring, had 3 hours of CRC under the scorching sun. Imagine how dark I became, In fact, its much more darker than my already tanned skin. It was indeed a big challenge but at least I cleared every single on up, so even though it was CAT1 on the next day, I was glad everyone tried. Had Kidnap and WE WON. LUCKY LUCKY :)
Next day had quite a nice schedule of CFP, kayaking and GS. Been a long time since I kayak so had alot of problem trying to move forward using a bandit. Campfire prep was abit slow with them being to only finalize everything later in the day since it was CAT 1 after lunch.
The performance was great with their own Chori Chori and the spirit of the school was simply fantastic. The teachers and Mr Wan were really nice people with their soft approach to their student which I think is successful, you can see the student are more open up to their teachers and it was hilarous to be with them especially hearing them and of course the youtube video which Mr Wan was talking about.
It was great being with my SEXY PUI.,the enthusiam could be much higher for all 3 days if you all want. The performance was great, the cheers and everything were done by you without our help. Therefore, even you may not have won the best, but you can be proud for the performance is truely belong to all of you.
What is a leader ?
A leader is one that know when to lead and when to serve. A leader should not be individualistic.Leaders should make decision base on the benefit of the group. He must also know that a good decision doesnt means a popular decision. So decide on what is right. Treat all issue as a challenge.

Ok, Talk about the weekends now.
Went out with Jeremy and some friends for dinner at Billy Bombers Marina Square and had alot of crapping time. Gettingt to know many stuff and just having fun. Went down to Dhoby Ghaut and mve on to Orchard before meeting the other instructors.
Went to Bishan to prawn with Andrew,JianLong,Jestyn,Jolene,Alex,Jaclyn,Larry,Gerald,Alex,Zhong Wen. In the end play Ouch Orbi Oribi before reaching home at 5am al thanks to the long ride but it was better than paying for taxi.
Sunday was simply family day, had Lunch with my parents at Sakura and then had dinner with my relatives and for my cousin Treviz who will be enlisting real soon.
Anyway, went to get my diploma certificate and my transcript today. It was great to be holding it finally after 3 years. Anyway, saw my pal XueChang, it been a long time bro, time to keep back in touch.
Oh yea,had a chat with Melissa last night, it was hilarious talking to her, its like talking about year1 days when we had some stuff going on and all the stupid things that happen like Danielle shouting on the phone to tease me and my msn was projected while the ALC peeps were chatting with me. Though things didnt work out but I guess it gave us some great memories. :)
Anyway, was actually quite pissed about some stuff today because I feel things should not be done in this way. Not convenient to post it out due to sensitivity. But anyway, what to do. But its ok.

Comeback camp ,CCKSS SEC2 CampT Thursday, April 3, 2008
Finally I am back in camp and this time was for CCKSS sec2.
Spend the night at yaoxin place with treviz and cherie before heading down to Lot1 for breadfast and proceeding on to Jbac.
Day1.
To start with, haha my mirror was Jolene and we got class 2.9. Gave them the name Mickey because 2 girls in the grp got mickey mouse sleeping bag. For us,there were no meal duties so we were assigned to clean the toilet for 2 days. First day, had GS,LE and abs with the students. There were 2 lanes for ABS and somehow it was quick, they cleared the activity quickly and soon we were preparing campfire while waiting for the zipline team. After that, had kidnap in the night as usual and lady luck was smiling and we got 2nd.
MSG FOR YUANSHAN : HAHAHA, Next time, Dont Hao Lian after you got the first key horrrr. hahaha. Joking Joking
Day2
Basically we were at CRC and CP for the whole morning, it was damn tiring as we were under the scorching sun while belaying so naturaly,we were perspiring like mad but once again, while waitin for their classmate to climb, mickey did their campfire prep again so we save alot of time in the planning side.
After lunch it was kayaking, CFP and Nature rumble. Kayaking was fun but I couldnt be part of it due to my leg. Anyway, I got one of the student who got to be up there too for some reason so kinda chatted with her for a bit.
Campfire prep time, they wasted so much time for making themself wet, it kinda irritate me cause I was still thinking where should I do my campfire prep cause they have wet shorts and there they go, making themselve wet. Luckily they had planned the performance bit by bit during the process so it was down to reharsing. Thanks the peeps, you know who you are for the preparations you made. :P
Put up the performance at night, it was a job well done beside the small little part when Low was halted due to technical problems. Luckily, we won copycat and kinda hype them up. Veron speech make lots of them cry and then had a bit of talk with the team as well.
Day3
HOME SWEET HOME :)
My personal thoughts for the camp.
I had quite a number of first time in the camp.
They were
1) Mirroring someone for a 2nd time and it was Jolene, I never mirror anyone 2 times since last year.
2) Had test with Jody, first time as well.
3) Had to stay back to clean the place again.
For the class level, it would been perfect if all of them were much enthu, despite having small talks most of the chinese guyz,they still did not improve much. Maybe they are sec2 and typical chinese guy, so maturity was still lacking in them But lucky the cheer were louder during the performance. The malay guyz were fantastic and this include Bing and my fellow Monkey for helping me alot in the abseiling as well and in crc.The girls were mostly great and enthu and I guess they were abit irritated during the planning for campfire but job well done :).
Many of them said I still wasnt myself in this camp,the hype level and in terms of taking the cohort was lacking. But for me, in this camp,my main objective was about my own group,not much on cohort,I wana adapt myself back to camp mode first. I guess still abit lacking though but hope 2.9 had great fun with me and Jolene in the house.
Next camp Tangling Sec from 9th-11th Finally Eunice camp again after Juying pri sch last year. HAHA, My aim is to bring myself back to the Rendall who is super hyper in front of the whole cohort as well. And I am confident I can do that. :)
